About GrandTen
“In 2008, I began my MBA at Babson College. I chose Babson because the MBA program was focused on entrepreneurship. I’ve always had a passion for crafts spirits. There weren’t any crafts distilleries in Boston at the time. So, I decided to create one. Starting in the second year of the program, I was working on GrandTen’s business plan. I graduated in 2010 and started the company with my cousin Spencer.”

The inspiration behind GrandTen's products
“My family has a history of hobby alcohol production. My grandfather made wine.
My father makes beer. It was a natural progression into spirits. Beer and wine are limited on what and how flavors can be created since they are made from grains and grapes. Spirits are an open ocean, so many flavor paths to explore and create. We experiment often and we are driven by our inspiration for the product.

Wire Works American Gin
“Our flagship product, Wire Works American Gin, celebrates the history of the famous South Boston iron foundry that occupied the space where we now distill. It is one of the first products we created. Wire Works is more balanced compared to a traditional London dry gin. There are spicy, citrus, floral, and juniper notes in it.
Fairly frequently, we have new limited-run products available at the distillery. Often we also have one-off whiskeys exploring different grain combinations or fermentation techniques.”

“Our products are sold at about 500 locations, around Northeast, Maryland, and DC area. It is mostly liquor stores but there are some restaurants and bars.
