How everything started

Q: How did the business begin?

Alessandro Jang: “I started Out of Thin Air from my apartment. We joined a farmers market, then pop-ups, and it just kept growing. We never had investors—everything was grassroots. It was either keep the business going or find a job. So we figured it out.”

Q: What do you think made Out of Thin Air successful as a business?

Alessandro Jang: “It’s a blessing. We just focused on being of service. No marketing, no ads—just solving problems for others. If our accounts grow, we grow. It’s all word of mouth.”

Q: When was your proudest moment?

Alessandro Jang: “When I see my team progressing. Some came with nothing and now have cars and steady work. Others are chasing bakery dreams. I want this to be a platform, not just a job. That’s what I’m proud of.”
