Can you tell us about your favorite childhood food?

Definitely my mom’s peas and pasta. This was and still is my favorite dish. It’s a ‘staple’ dish in every Italian household, though every family has their own spin on the recipe. About a year ago I published my mom’s recipe on my blog and the response was incredibly positive! I guess it’s a favorite for others too.

What did food mean to you before the lockdown?

Food, for me, has always been a symbol of love, family, and togetherness.

How did your food choices change during the lockdown?

I’ve been trying to eat healthier, because now more than ever I need to take special care of my body. I’ve also been doing my best to support small, local businesses through takeout and online ordering. I think my food obsession has grown since the quarantine. Now, my entire day revolves around what I’m having for dinner (because what else is there to look forward to?).

What do you miss the most? What did you discover new?

I miss dining at restaurants. I dine out a LOT because, frankly, it’s my job. Sometimes, it can get repetitive. But now, during quarantine, I can’t believe how badly I miss those moments. I will NEVER take going out to dinner or drinks with friends/family for granted again.

Do you have a food hack or a 2 mins recipe you can share?

I’ll share my mom’s peas and pasta recipe because like I said, it’s a fan favorite. It’s pretty easy to make, too.

Can you tell us about Eleven Seven Media and The Boston Food Journal?

Absolutely! The Boston Food Journal is a food and lifestyle platform that I created in 2015. It started from a simple love of food and drink, but over time, it grew into a fully functioning business. In late 2019 I quit the corporate 9-5 hustle to be a full-time entrepreneur and launched my own social media agency – Eleven Seven Media. At ESM, I consult for multiple businesses helping with all digital marketing needs; social media, communications, photography, etc.
